Will VV-VIII motor fit other machines

Post by grampaphone »

Hi. I am looking at a roached VV-VIII, fairly early model. I couldn't see under the motor board, but the crank is fairly forward on the side not like the later models. My question is: what other models would that motor possibly fit? specifically Victor models. I am also curious about the tone arm possibilities. It is a rather ragged parts machine. Thanks, JT

I suspect for any particular time period, the same motor was used on the VV-VI and VV-VIII. Maybe others could chime in. Jerry B.

Jerry is right. The early VV VI and VV VIII used the same motor. The crank used is a female flat bar crank.

Thanks. I already have an early VIII so I was hoping this extra motor might fit a small early victor I or II. Thanks and regards, JT

This motor will not fit in a Victor I or a II. It is a totally different configuration.
