I picked up a Model 10 in quarter sawn Oak. Cleaning up pretty wel so far. I am in need of a few small pieces to patch some missing parts on the grill. Anyone know what oak veneer was used (white, red, other)?

Quarter sawn white oak was the most popular oak used in the period. Red oak was looked upon as a cheaper wood and not as highly figured.
