I posed what looks like a stupid question in an earlier post but, in the pursuit of knowledge I shall ask it again:
Wes K remarked in a post that he would love to have an Opera case with an Amberola 1-A mechanism in it.
Has that ever been tried, done or is it even possible? I think that would be great to know. If anyone knows, please reply.
Thanks.
John

Re: OPERA/AMBEROLA 1-A
This comment stemmed from a YouTube video I have seen of a demonstration of an Amberola 1A mechanism in a reproduction mahogany Opera case.
In my opinion, the 2 and 4 minute 1A mechanism in the Opera cabinet would basically give you the ultimate open-horn Edison: a combination Opera that could play both 2 and 4 minute records.
