I've been editing The Antique Phonograph (previously The Sound Box) for almost 15 years now. This is the first time in all those years that we've seen a problem of this magnitude. Normally there is some variation in delivery dates in different parts of the country, but most of the time everyone receives their copy within a week before or after the first of the month of the cover date.

This issue went to the printer on February 7th, nearly five weeks ago. It is a mystery why the post office has dropped the ball this time around after so many problem-free years.

This could just be a one-time fluke but you can be sure we will be working with our printer / distributor to correct this in the future.

I always make sure that every issue is completed and in the printer's hands at least 3 weeks before the cover date. But as George mentioned previously, once these are delivered to the post office they are out of our control.

I wonder if the USPS is experimenting with new routing protocols. Lately a few small packages sent to me from TX and AZ have been routed to me through Puerto Rico. Kind of odd to me when I live in Mass.

Do I have to tell you that I'm now paying most of my bills online? :x

Already 16 MAR 18, and still no APS. I hope this is a one time problem. I sure would like to get my issue soon.
