What in the world is this and what do i do with it
I believe i have a Victor VI talking machine with a large horn, but i know nothing about these things. I found it digging through my grandmothers attic. Any advice on what its worth, what to do with it, etc would be appreciated! Thanks a lot

Value: Around $3000-$6000 depending on condition
What to do with it: KEEP IT! Clean it up, display it, use it, and enjoy it as a family heirloom. There is a ton of information here, and we are always happy to help.

I think i would really rather see it go to someone who knows and enjoys these, and can bring it back to its original glory. Surely soneone would enjoy it more than I can. But holy crap, that much?! Where do I even begin looking for a buyer? Thats unbelievable

Take better photos (and a lot of them) and list it here in the Yankee Trader sectionNickwoska wrote:I think i would really rather see it go to someone who knows and enjoys these, and can bring it back to its original glory. Here are some more photos i just took. Im under the impression that it isnt in the greatest shape, as some striping is worn away, and the turntable is missing (i may be able to find it with some more searching). How does it look to you guys?

How does it look? As far as I can tell from the photos, it seems to have a few bits missing or detached, but in short, it looks fantastic. Just the way we like to find them. Why are your pictures so cloudy? Dirty lens? Can you get some better quality photos?

I actually just now noticed my phones camera has a small crack, i believe that led to the poor quality. I am going to take photos with my fathers nikon once I clean and dust the machine, my apologies for the bad pictures

When you "clean" the machine, just use a dry Swiffer duster. Don't use Pledge or Endust or anything else. Whoever buys this from you will clean it further or not as they see fit.Nickwoska wrote:I actually just now noticed my phones camera has a small crack, i believe that led to the poor quality.
