Found this for sale for $400 and wondering if anyone knows about it. Needle bar is missing.

This probably won't help you much but that is a RichTone phonograph by Great Eastern Mfr's. Co., Chicago, Ill.

Re: Who made this
My best guess is that the tonearm and reproducer are generic, third-party manufacture. You might try perusing old ads in Talking Machine World, or old supply catalogues like "Honest Quaker", and compare them with your machine. If you can find out what make and model the reproducer is, then you have a starting point: you can inquire among parts suppliers like George Vollema, and see if they have any spare parts.

I'm not certain that plate is original to the machine. It looks a lot like a PremierDjango wrote:This probably won't help you much but that is a RichTone phonograph by Great Eastern Mfr's. Co., Chicago, Ill.

Really, it is a Rich Tone made in Chicago by Great Eastern Mfg. I am not sure about the tone arm and reproducer.

I do believe you now, though there is probably some connection to the Premier- they look too alike.Django wrote:Really, it is a Rich Tone made in Chicago by Great Eastern Mfg. I am not sure about the tone arm and reproducer.

Re: Who made this
Interesting: the tonearm in these photos seems to be from the mid-'20s. The OP's arm looks more like late 'teens / early '20s.Django wrote:Really, it is a Rich Tone made in Chicago by Great Eastern Mfg. I am not sure about the tone arm and reproducer.
