I remember back in the 1970's my late friend Arthur Pare didn't have the problem with the wax Amberols like we have today.It was later when he did his auction lists that Arthur was having problems with them.I'm so glad that Norman put Sophie Tucker's "Some Of These Days" on the resin cylinders.edisonplayer

I really enjoy the sound of them, but have had bad luck finding anything but lousy BAs. If I saw any Edison wax cylinders in the wild I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

Best practice is not to play celluloid cylinders with a sapphire stylus should said stylus be used after that to play wax Amberols.
