I meant the first photo on the thread is electric..not the subsequent photos

Thanks for all the input. Still no solution on how to fix the darn thing though. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure how the brake is suppose to work :?

Thank you jerry. Didn't mean to offend. It just sounded like you weren't 100% so I was getting other opinions, but that pic solved it.

Now I gota try to hunt down a spring...

Any good hardware store should have an assortment of springs. I fixed one of these years ago, the tricky part was getting just the right spring tension, but with trial and error, I got it. Buy a few different ones so you'll have room for error.

You can get a whole box with assorted springs at harbor freight, then you can make one fit.
