What kind of needle is this?

What kind of needle is this?

I found these two needles in the bottom of my VV-XVI and I've never seen any quite like these. Any ideas?

Bell tone needles. At least you can see them when they get dropped on the floor!

Wow! That was a fast response. I guess it will be easier to find if dropped. What purpose does the little bell serve? Better sound?

From the linked thread above - the bell needle collects the overtones at the surface of the record that would be otherwise lost. :mrgreen:
