When you don’t have an Emerson crank........
Just showing off a little country ingenuity here. The brown handled crank is an original Emerson crank. I used it to model the black handled crank. Threaded end is a piece of brass from someone else’s bad attempt at making a crank for a Wizard phonograph. I drilled it out and silver soldered it to the shaft......which was from my parts bin: a carriage shaft from an Edison GEM! After bending the metal, I drilled the end a bit, and silver soldered a handle shaft from an old Victrola crank I had here. I threaded it ¼-20, but it doesn’t fit on my Emerson. My next job is to plunge into my toolbox and find a thread tap that is correct!

Looks good... way to think outside the box...
"The phonograph is not of any commercial value."
