I believe that "all" Columbia AU Disc Graphophones left the factory with a small spindle and a Columbia decal.

I believe that "all" Standard T.M.Co. AA machines left the factory with a large spindle and a Standard T.M.Co. decal.

Anomalies may exist, but I'd be suspicious unless there's a known provenance. Just my opinion...

George P: My thoughts too. By the way, you're one of the Wise Guys I was hoping would weigh in.

And thanks to Rich G. and Lucius1958 for clarifying the machines. I think I got it burned into me now what's an AA and what's an AU.
