Ediphone Master Wax cylinder questions

I recently bought about a hundred Edison cylinders, both wax and Blue Amberols. Among these cylinders was one Ediphone Master Wax cylinder blank. It's in a gray box about 6 ½" long. It does not say VoiceWriter on it. Not owning an Ediphone, I'm wondering if anyone still uses or collects these?

I have an ediphone that I spent months repairing. It was in really bad shape, but it looks good now and runs well. Not many people care much for the later ediphones, and they go for cheap. But I don't actually have a blank, or a cylinder of the correct size, and I don't want to spend 40 bucks on a new one. There's not much interest for them since it was only used for dictation, and recordings wear out too fast, even compared to early brown was cylinders. It could go for something if its never been recorded on and in the box

I wonder what the "Ediphone Safety" means on the blank? It also says "Edison Master Wax". The box does not have a lid. I don't think it has been used for a recording as it looks smooth. I'd like to see a pic of your Ediphone and what year was it made? I know there is a 1927 picture of Charles and Thomas Edison standing with an Ediphone and a Schubert Edisonic, as well as a tin foil phonograph.

I don't have it completely assembled, but mostly. Unfortunately I'm missing the the stand, but I got I for 25 bucks, would have been much more if it was complete, considering people would value it based on its size.

I think the Voicewriter is from the 30s or 40s, right? Was the Ediphone that is in the 1927 photo hand crank or electric?

The one in that photo is electric. Must have been taken later than 27.

I think it is 1927 as they were celebrating the 50th anniversary of Edison's invention of the phonograph in 1877. Here's the link which shows the date of the photograph.

In the picture there is a decal on the side of the Ediphone--- it appears to be the same one as pictured below indicating the Sesquicentennial (150th anniversary of the United States). That was celebrated in 1926, so I would assume the picture would be in the 1926-1927 range.

It couldn't be 1926 because the Edisonics didn't come out until 1927.
