Hi All,
Recently I have found myself attracted to the early, large electronic versions of the Victor catalog. First there was the VE-9-25 that came from San Diego, and now the mint VE-9-54 that came from here in Arizona from the original family that bought it new. I will be posting pictures shortly. The 9-25 works wonderfully, the VE-9-54 does not serviced last in 1937.
What I am looking for is instruction or service manuals for either of these units-or anyone who might have some information about them that can send me copies of that information.
Thx for any help in advance
Abe

Abe,
I enjoyed speaking to you on the phone the other day and was so happy to hear about your new addition 9-54.
Can't wait to see photos.

There is a schematic of the radio on Nostalgia Air for free at: http://www.nostalgiaair.org/Resources/274/M0040274.htm
there is a service bulletin repro on Ebay:

And Look for the Dog by Baumbach has a section on the record changer.
I used to own an Victrola Service Manual 1923-1928 that covered models with radios from 1923-1928 and had information on the 9-54.

Abe,
Once you start collecting BIG machines, there is no turning back! Soon there will be a 9-40, 9-55, 9-56, and a 10-51. It will be endless!

Hey Abe -
Two very nice machines. I to want to recover some of the machines I had to sell off some time ago. So you might see a little competition from me. However with the distance between us, that will probably not be an issue.

Had a lot of fun with that one. It was the shade from the Modernola Lori and I got. The other find that I'm excited about is the 9-54. Ooh La La! It's enroute at this moment, but I'm so impatient to get it into my shop.
