Hi All,
My friend George Epple has a Polly Portable that came with a spring under the speed control. He thinks it was original and intended to maintain speed setting during transport. My Polly came without a speed control or spring either of which could go missing over the years.
I wish to inquire if there are any other Polly Portables out there with a spring under the speed control? I would like to hear from people that do not have a spring under the speed control as well. I ask this question to find out if Epple's Polly is the only one with a spring and what the percentage of machines did have same.
gramaphone78 Wayne pointed me in the direction of George V. and I am getting a speed control from him. Thank you kindly Wayne.
Thank you all in advance for any input,
Allen
ps I have tried to correct the spelling of my old post of Poly instead of Polly and have had only limited success please forgive me. I do think the search function still finds the misspelled posts.
Allen
