I found this thread and thought it was interesting to see the PNG format images that were done in 2009. If you are unfamiliar with PNG format images, they are basically cut out from their original backgrounds and saved with a transparent background, which makes them useful for Avatars or to place into other PNG images... or whatever other use you can think of. George's avatar is listed and shown below...
