Silverstone phonograph

Post by mpanderson »

In cleaning out my parents house, in preparation for moving, I found an antique hand crank table top Silverstone phonograph. Would anyone know if this is of any value?

Thanks
Mark

Of course! Of how much value, I don't know. But it does seem like you're missing the crank and reproducer, both of which I have for that model. Just let me know if you're going to keep and, and by chance need parts.

I do have the crank, just didn't have it in the picture. I let you know about the any needed parts, as you noticed the reproducer is missing.

I don't have a need for a antique phonograph so my plan is to sell it.

Thanks

Silvertone (not Silverstone) was Sears' house brand for phonographs and records. They're considered to be nearly as good as the "big" names, but not quite the same. There are some collectors of Silvertone, but not as many as for, say, Victor, Columbia, Edison, etc.

You can offer your machine for sale here on Yankee Trader. You'll find a rules post there that needs to be followed.
