Water Powered Phonograph???

I recently came across this homemade stereoview, which apparently shows a water powered phonograph from 1953. This is the only view of it, which does not show the actual mechanism.

Has anyone ever seen a water powered machine or this one in particular? The only clue seems to be the coil, which could indicate a steam powered mechanism, but I admit I am puzzled...

There was an early form of the edison class m that was water powered, before edison had perfected the spring motor

Yes, I know, but this doesn't seem to resemble anything I have ever seen...

I'm not sure that "coil" in the background has anything to do with it, either. It looks like a water spigot is sticking out of the back and the whole thing appears to be over a sink... but that might just be a shadow, since it appears to be sitting on a folding card table...
