Part for Silvertone Tru-Phonic
Just acquired this machine, still runs and have a package of needles. The round metal base where the tone arm ("S" shaped), mounts is cracked & broken. Anyone here have info on sourcing replacement parts? Any help is appreciated.

This is a "wanted" ad and should be in Yankee Trader. You may want to post it there, following the rules posted at the top of that sub-forum.
To answer your question, the part you are needing is made of "pot metal" which deteriorates greatly over time. You are not likely to find a replacement part because similar parts will have the same issues. You can use JBweld or similar material to create the missing piece, but it will only be a temporary solution because of the instability of the part.

Re: Part for Silvertone Tru-Phonic
To clarify the previous reply: pot metal is unpredictable, often varying from batch to batch. You may still be able to find these parts in good condition on eBay: just make sure they're for the correct model Tru-Phonic.
