Trumpetone

Post by dutchman »

Anyone have info on this machine I purchased a few years back? Plays nice, has double spring motor, unfortunately with the little horn and condition of the reproducer gasket the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired.... :D
I am curious as to the little rod that supports the trumpet horn would like to compare it with another machine. Thanks Bill K.

Hey thanks. We now know there are at least 2 of these machines... :D I was going to try to rebuild the reproducer but I think I'll let well enough alone. Thanks again and have a good one. Bill K.

According to an article in "The Victrola and 78 Journal" -- the Trumpetone was marketed in 1923 -- https://archive.org/stream/V78J12/V78J% ... trumpetone

I searched the 1923 issues and came up with this ad:

        Hope this helps.
