Did Edison ever make small electric radio phonographs?

I don't even think Edison put out a table top radio. Edison Bell did, but they are British.

No, the C-1, C-2, and C-4 were the only combination machines and they were all full-sized.Victrolacollector wrote:Did Edison ever make small electric radio phonographs?

At the Edison Historic Site, there is a prototype model of a portable turntable, meant to be patched into an existing radio; but that is apparently as far as they got before they shut down in 1929.

Re: Edison Small Electric Radio Phonograph
I have one around here somewhere with the legs broken off. They are still pretty big, haha! The leg bases Edison put under those radio/phonographs are REALLY skimpy and fragile... Especially for how heavy those sets are.gramophone-georg wrote:Even with the legs sawed off?52089 wrote:No, the C-1, C-2, and C-4 were the only combination machines and they were all full-sized.Victrolacollector wrote:Did Edison ever make small electric radio phonographs?

I hear if you paint it white after sawing the legs off it will look even smaller.EarlH wrote:

Wait... did I just say that out loud?
But seriously... Jerry... I have a Victor single speed motorboard with TT and arm from a mid 30s Victor RE kicking around if you want to try to create a plug in turntable in a cabinet for a table top radio. I'll let it go for shipping costs.
This is the straight arm style arm.
