I recently purchased this Silvertone off Craigslist for $100. Other than needing a rebuild of the reproducer it seems to be in excellent condition. From previous posts I have read I believe this is a Model VI made about 1920.

On the back of the cabinet there is a small metal plate with the letters T.D.C. Anyone have an idea what those letters stand for? Is it the company that sold it?

Silvertone was the house brand of Sears, Roebuck & Company, I don't think they would have been sold anywhere else. No idea what T.D.C stands for.

It would be the cabinet maker. Many have plates marked P.F.C. for Pooley Furniture Company.

Going out on a limb, T.D.C. might be "....... Desk Company"

I'm pretty certain Sears used many cabinet shops to get the lowest prices.

There was a "Toledo Desk & Fixture Company" dating from the time...

It could also be a prior owner's initials. That tag looks not unlike the sorts that my grandfather (who was a machinist) used to put on just about everything that wasn't nailed down to mark it with his initials.

I found a picture in an earlier post that shows a different plate.
