The Talking Machine Forum — For All Antique Phonographs & Recordings

So I picked up a Modernola the other day after buying the contents of a house. It looks to be all original other than the lamp shade has been redone and even has the drawers for the records. The problem im having is the springs on the motor dont seems to be engaging with the drive gear. Can anyone point me to a place for replacement parts or the best way to open the spring drum? Ive done work like this before, I just like to gather as much information as possible before going to far into it.
