Victor M with aluminum horn
Can anyone provide information on this Vic M , was the 36" aluminum horn a factory option or an after market? the tonearm and bracket are all extra long to accommodate the 36" horn. Does this setup add value? Thanks For any help.

Re: Victor M with aluminum horn
Victor didn't offer a 36" aluminum horn, but well-known aftermarket companies did. Victor offered the extended support and traveling arm for its 30" black & brass horn. A customer might well have opted for the larger aluminum horn to decrease record wear.
The aluminum horn would certainly add value for me, but others might have differing personal tastes.

Oops - sorry - - I didn't realize this M was yours. A couple of members of this board can attest that they can occasionally find dust around my phonographs too!

I think the big aluminum horn adds interest and additional value to the outfit. Jerry Blais

Quite impressive! I have extended arm Victors E,M,and MS but they all have the bracket that goes on the original size support arm. I have never seen a one piece support bracket like yours. I hope someone replies with an ad for this setup.
