Phonograph Cake ( way off topic)

Hello,
I was just going through a shoe box of old photographs when I came across this picture. The picture was taken 40 years ago on my
23rd Birthday. My girl friend at the time went to a lot of trouble to make me a cake that looked like an Edison Gem Phonograph. Anyway I thought some of you might get a kick out of seeing it!

This thread reminded me of a picture taken when I too was 23...plus 10 months. The date was December 6, 1977 - - the 100th anniversary of the completion and successful testing of the first Phonograph.

I felt the evening needed memorializing, but my cake can't compare to Pete's girlfriend's "Gem." Just a square, with a crude depiction of "His Master's Voice" and the dates. As I remember, Barbie just let me go on with detached amusement. Some things don't change...
