YouTube, and Music of the Acoustical Era

Post by Edisonfan »

You know, with YouTube, it's nice to see music, from the Acoustical era, being broadcast. It's nice that those of us on YouTube, are sharing this music, with the rest of the world. Even if, it is a small portion of that world. At least by doing this, were are preserving music of the past, that has long been forgotten, by most people. But, as long as there are people like us out there, posting these songs. They will not be lost or forgotten.

Yep, YouTube has become a very powerful source in our field. I just still regret the unforgivable low bit rate sound quality that YouTube offers, even when switching to HQ video mode.
Their videos use a 126 Kbit/s AAC stream which additionally has to be converted to something more common until I can put on my portable player. I wish they would offer to use mono at the same bit rate. It would certainly increase the quality by light years. Nevertheless, it already does have it's educational values.
