I'm working on an Emerson console phonograph and I'm in the re-install mode putting everything back together. The elbow attaches to the reproducer with a BB bearing in twist lock fashion. The elbow then once again uses the BB bearing to twist lock onto the tone arm.
My question is how do you get this BB into the slot of both elbow and reproducer, or tonearm in order to twist ock it? Is there a tip or trick someone can give me on this procedure?
Thanks,

I would think a little grease or maybe vaseline in the slot would hold the bearing in place and allow you to slip the reproducer on.
