What is the best wax finish for an oak upright? Paste or liquid? Thank you.

I discovered an old bottle of Oakwood Interiors Furniture Wax. It's really old, as it doesn't have a bar code on it. Holy crap, this stuff is awesome.

Looks like they are still in business and it's the only place to get it. If it's anywhere close to the same quality as this old bottle it's incredible.

My old bottle says to apply with a soft cloth while the newer stuff says to apply with a medium or fine Scotch Brite pad, so maybe it's different now.

It doesn't look like they offer it for sale, at least not on their website.

I don't have experience with waxing my phonographs until today. I refinished my Victor 6 with shellack and waxed it with Rennisance Wax. His Masters Voice (one of our moderators) had recommended this in an old post. It's an expensive product, but I snagged a $2 deal at a yard sale. I'm very please with it. :coffee:

I have a distributor in my area, as it winds up. I'll get some and see how it compares to the ancient bottle of it I have.

I like OZ Cream Polish. It is available on Amazon. It has no cutting agent or solvents and keeps the wood looking nice.

^ I seen what you did there

I always use Howard's brand Feed-N-Wax, to great results.
