What is the best wax finish for an oak upright? Paste or liquid? Thank you.

I discovered an old bottle of Oakwood Interiors Furniture Wax. It's really old, as it doesn't have a bar code on it. Holy crap, this stuff is awesome.bobkolba wrote:What is the best wax finish for an oak upright? Paste or liquid? Thank you.
I don't have experience with waxing my phonographs until today. I refinished my Victor 6 with shellack and waxed it with Rennisance Wax. His Masters Voice (one of our moderators) had recommended this in an old post. It's an expensive product, but I snagged a $2 deal at a yard sale. I'm very please with it.bobkolba wrote:What is the best wax finish for an oak upright? Paste or liquid? Thank you.
I have a distributor in my area, as it winds up. I'll get some and see how it compares to the ancient bottle of it I have.marcapra wrote:It doesn't look like they offer it for sale, at least not on their website.
