That plate is on some early front mount Victors. You remove the plate and attach either a Rigid Arm back bracket or a tapered arm back bracket.

Somebody at the Sunday show was doing some kind of internet "live broadcast" from the show. Anybody know details?

That was DJ Mac of Facebook's Antique Phonograph Society page. It's very had to view, especially after the image went sideways. Here it is...

Hi,

I watched the "live broadcast" and would like to ask, if there is may be someone who knows which exhibitor this is ?
with a Lioret Jumeau phonograph doll and some Pathé & Puck phonographs.
