Edison Dictaphone Shaving Machine Model 7 Type S

Post by 7309 »

I recently purchased an Edison Shaving Machine, Model 7 Type S. The machine is in excellent condition with one exception. All of the wiring is off of the machine. (I mean every wire and connection). I don't know how to re-wire it in order to get it to run so I was wondering if anyone on the forum would be able to tell me/show me how to re-wire my machine. I believe I have everything other than the wiring to complete the job but I need to know what connects to what. I would like to do it as correctly as possible but am willing to make any modifications necessary for safety. I AM NOT an electrician, and I don't want to electrocute myself so am waiting until I can get information before trying to do it myself. Thanks for reading my request. I hope someone has one and will be able to help.

I too have a Dictaphone shaver model 7 type S.
Have had it many years and use it frequently
in the production of brand new brown wax cylinder blanks.

The wiring is not very complex.

If all of the parts are there:
-motor
-switch
-rheostat
-jack for line cord

all you will need to do is connect those parts.

I'll be glad to help in any way that I can.
Drop me a PM, or email.
