Musicmaster Baby end cap /connector

Post by SSBN 657 »

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a Baby that the end cap has come off. What do you folks recommend to glue this back on. Would burnt shellac be appropriate. If so, to what consistency would one burn down to in order to act as an effective glue.
As a note, there is no damage to the wood under the cap.

Thanx in advance

Unless you plan to take it off again, for some reason (the cap was meant to stay on permanently), I would use a modern glue that adheres to both wood and metal... like WELDBOND glue. It's permanent and flexible when it dries and the excess cleans off with a damp paper towel...
