Help identifying unique needle

Hi. I found this needle inside a phonograph that I purchased. Does anyone have any information on it? Is it safe to use over and over on my "not so valuable" records? I've been told the steel needles should only be used once and then discarded, which I usually do. The tip is extremely tiny and sharp. I tried it out on an old record and it actually sounded pretty good! Thanks.

It might be a Tungs-tone needle, a Victor product.

It certainly appears to be a Tungs-tone needle, but the tip is practically gone. I wouldn't use it, since there would be virtually no lateral elasticity. (Granted, I don't like Tungs-tone needles - - even when new - - for the way they wear records.)

Thanks guys for the quick replies. I'll probably hold off on using it anymore since the tip is worn down. I didn't realize it wasn't supposed to be that small.
