Project Victor Junior

Post by phonogal »

Picked up this Victor Junior a few weeks ago. It needed a lot of work but most of the pieces were there. We got it back together. What do you think? Sorry for the bad pictures. It cold and rainy here today and my phone takes lousy pictures with the flash.

Great job!!! Juniors are a great little machine. The reproducers are extremely hard to find on the loose.

I rebuilt the reproducer but probably still needs some adjusting. Can't say much for the sound quality.

That thing was about a hare's eyelash from the kindling stage. Great restoration and a very nice job sticking the cracked boards back together.

(The worst thing about early machines is the way the tops fall apart on the disc models, and the bottoms split on the cylinder ones!)

Good restoration and it looks like it's ready for the shelf.

Thanks. Jerry. Of course it will never be that original pristine machine we all dream about finding but I'm happy we could save it before it totally rotted and rusted away. Now if I could just figure out how to get better sound out of the reproducer. :D
