Some more pix with the horn I have for it. (Yeah, my horn is in really sad shape) And a couple behind-the-scenes photos as I was cleaning it. I also got out my stopwatch app just to see how much it would go on what I think is a a full wind, (What’s the ideal amount of turns while winding these?) and I got 2 minutes and 32 seconds. So just enough to play a full record.

Well I just ordered the JAS reproduction reproducer. So probably expect a new thread about working all the kinks out if something goes wrong when I’m trying to play it. Ie: plays too slow, slows to a stop while trying to play, tracking issues, etc...
BTW will the JAS reproducer play brown wax? I don’t have any brown waxes yet. But in the small chance I actually find one locally will it play them?

...And possibly better than any other period reproducer!

Really? Well that's great to hear!
Here's an ad I found interesting. Just cut out the ad in this paper and get a "free" Columbia Q!

Well, you do need to sell newspaper subscriptions for that "free Q!"
I like the claim that the Graphophone will be playing even though "a million years may come and go!"

Did anyone else catch the phrase "Columbia Disc Graphophone" buried in the ad also?

I hadn't but now I see it! I'm surprised people would have confused "disc" and "cylinder" back then...but I suppose I shouldn't be!

Well I’m on a roll this week. I disassemble and cleaned a Columbia Q yesterday and now I’ve rebuilt my first Edison reproducer today! Somehow the Columbia Q managed to be the easier job of the two...
Anyway, here’s how the Model C rebuild went...
