Best belt material: Wyatt Markus.

Best belt glue: See his video.

Best tools: Razor blades. (You do use a proper razor and blades, do you not? 5 cents and no acne...can't beat an old-time safety razor, even if "safety" is relative.)

Best sound: Leather belt.

I wish all phono-chores were easy as belt installation!
Is Walt Sommers’ belt good too? Because that’s what I have at the moment. As for glue I have this “Walthers Goo” stuff I’ve seen recommended. And I got plenty of razor blades from Walmart. I’ll give it the ol’ college try and see what happens.

Well I tried making the belt and unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster. :( I’m sorry guys. I’m just going to stick with the O-ring. I know to some it’s unorthodox. But to me it’s just plain less fuss. I can do all this other stuff just fine. (Cleaning motors, rebuilding soundboxes, ect) But screwing up what seems like a simple task for others? Yup that’s me! Lol.
