I dood it...

And bought the VV-111! The seller was a retired older gentleman downsizing and selling his house. I paid the price as the ad said and no bidding wars went on! (Thank goodness) The seller told me his wife’s grandfather was the original owner and bought it new in Wisconsin. So now I have a upper mid range acoustic era machine. Which I’m fine with, because anything beyond this you were paying for a fancier looking cabinet. Right? It also came with some ephemera which I’ll get a picture of later. Let me tell you. It looked a lot smaller at the seller’s house. Now the biggest issue is the motor runs really slow meaning It probably hasn’t seen lubrication in its 97-year lifespan. But a good teardown and cleaning will fix that!

Congratulations! Looks to be in very good condition and should clean up nicely. I do like the brown mahogany.

Congratulations! I've owned a lot of Victrolas but never a VV-111. Jerry B.

Thanks guys! :) Ever buy a machine and at the store or somebody’s house you think “That doesn’t look too big.” But when you actually bring it home it looks HUGE? Another thing. It also came with a few 45s... I hope nobody was trying to play the Monster Mash on it!

Here’s the ephemera I’m sure we’re all familiar with.

Nice machine with all that ephemera. This is practically a time capsule. That's the way to find them.
