Re: Mystry Edison Carriage - Early Clips but no adjusting Sc
Was it common for people to shave the adjustment screw off and put on a thumb screw. ??? I remember I have or had one and thought it was odd to have the clip holes with no adjustment screw. If it does not rain tomorrow I will try to find it and get a couple of pictures. I forgot what phonograph it was on but it had to be an early standard A. Mine looked like at the time it had been done as a aftermarket adjustment. The area where the adjustment screw had been ground off had not been painted. They did a good job of blending it in on the modification. I painted it to stop the rust. Tom

I got the pictures of my modified carriage. It looks like it was a standard A carriage that someone had ground of the adjusting screw. They did not put in a centering pin though. The area is rough and I earlier had painted it for rust control. I have added the wings to it also. This reproducer did not come with them. Tom
