Tone arm pin seized
Tearing down a victor I just purchased, to get parts gold plated. And found the tone arm pin seized in the back bracket. I tried kroil and pb blast soaking and needle nose locking pliers. no luck. I had to cut the pin. Got tone arm out and used larger locking plier and finally it came out. The pin for the horn elbow hold down is broken off in the bracket.

Re: Tone arm pin seized
Wow. Sounds like the lower pin just rusted tight down inside the bracket. There is a spring under that pin. I'm not sure how to go about removing the remainder of the pin. Perhaps it will need to be drilled out. I feel your pain having just taken mine apart. In my case the pins came out easily and the spring is still fine.
