AB Macdonald Project

Post by Jerry B. »

I recently picked up an AB Macdonald project. Here are some "as purchased" photos.

That’s one on my short list. I look forward to seeing the transformation.

I've always had a soft spot for the AB. Wonderful machine!

It's odd, but in my experience it seems that these turn up at two opposite extremes -- either in astonishingly immaculate condition, or very rough. I don't often see 'average' machines in the middle range.

That one obviously falls into the rough category but it has limitless potential. I'm very eager to see your progress!

The transformation of the cabinet has been amazing. The results are a testimonial to GoJo. The end results were from lots of GoJo, a bunch of rags, a toothbrush, and gentle use of 0000 steel wool. I initially thought the oak base was a lost cause but I was wrong. I'm always careful around the decal where the GoJo made a brief application with a rag and then quickly off. I couldn't be happier with the results. Now, on to the mechanism.

Jerry,

Great transformation.
That's gonna be a really nice machine when you're done with it.
