Victrola VV-VI spring spec

Post by mick_vt »

Hey all, my calipers are dead and I'm also not sure how on earth to measure the length of a mainspring. Wondering if you guys know for sure what spring I need to replace one that looks like it has gone weak in a newly acquired VV-VI. The spring is 1" wide and has a ⅝" center. Anybody know for sure, save me from ordering the wrong one?

Have you tried George Vollema and/or Ron Sitko? I'd think either could tell you.

As Fran mentioned, either person is an option. I have known Ron Sitko for years and if you call him he can help!
