Kudos to NateO for going out of his way by coming to my place at the crack of dawn this morning, and picking up the C 19 for delivery to Wayne, and its new owner kollegekid! A lot of moving parts to this experience, with some unfortunate events. But, Nate really came through, and I'm grateful.
This is the future of our hobby, and it sure looks bright! Thanks again, Nate.
Benji, I hope you get years of enjoyment from your "new" oak C 19.
Cheers,
Fran

Kudos also go out to Dave D and Canuck Phonographs for making my dream of owning a nice oak Amberola V happen! Thank you, both.
I hope everyone attending the various get-togethers, and show this weekend enjoy themselves. I'm there with y'all in spirit!
Cheers,
Fran

Re: Kudos to NateO!
I had been planning to be on this trip, but Thursday night my wife, our visiting daughter, and her 19-month-old all came down with a stomach flu. I've been Nurse Ratchet since then and on Friday morning had to very reluctantly bail out. Luckily, various emails alerted the remaining stalwarts and everything else can go as planned because of their adaptability. But poor Nate winds up driving...and by himself.
Luckily, Nate's an Eagle Scout so there's no stopping him!
And I'm waiting to be hit by the stomach flu... Everyone else here is still suffering to varying degrees.
Hope everyone at Wayne has a good time!
George P.

I hope your family members are well soon, George, and that the illness skips over you. It would've certainly been terrible to get sick while in NJ.
Best,
Fran

Re: Kudos to NateO!
Well gee, look at this I don't check the forum for a few hours and this is what happens
It's really my pleasure to help out, especially since I had to come out here anyway. I'm especially grateful to be able to help bring that oak C-19 to it's new owner, and I am looking forward to handing it over tomorrow!
I've also got to give a special thank you to both Dave D and Orthosean for their help loading up my car. Those Edison cabinets are monsters, so it really was much appreciated!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone who will be at the show tomorrow.
Nate

Awesome stuff all the way around--on everybody's part. Everybody is a champ here and that oak C-19 is gorgeous. Pretty cool for a cabinet to survive all these years still light-colored and beautiful!
