Victrola Record cabinet

Post by andyjon100 »

Is this worth $100? I think it's nice, but I'm more of an oak guy. I'm probably the one oddball that prefers it to mahogany...

Absolutely worth $100 for a cabinet like that in my opinion. I've never seen one of these before, does anyone have any info on it? Very intrigued.

Yep, the price increase is unfortunate but you should still definitely buy it

Looks like it's an original matching record cabinet for a Victor Victrola XI and XII.
For $200 it's still way under it's value (my opinion).
If you can't get it or have a use for it you might consider passing the information on.
That way another collector in your area may be able to use it.

He finally got back to me and said he was offered $200 for it, which I question because it's still listed. I made him an offer I can afford, but haven't heard from him. If I can't strike a deal with him, I'll pass it on here. I'm sure every collector in the area is onto it, or will be soon - it's not exactly on an obscure sales venue...

That cabinet was made for the VV-XII- I had one in my collection for many years- I sold it to one of my NC collector friends several years ago--- $200 is a steal for that cabinet. I hope someone on the forum ends up with it. They are few and far between. This one is missing the record slats, but they are easy to replicate for someone with woodworking skills. Really nice looking cabinet-
