Pride of ownership.

This couple were evidently so proud of their gramophone that they put on their Sunday best to be photographed with it.

My guess is that the machine is a Columbia, but others will be able to positively identify it.

Very nice photo. It is a proud couple. Yes, it's some sort of Columbia. With the huge nickel horn it is top of the line. Perhaps it's a European version of the Col BD or BY.

What a great photo, thanks for sharing this! I zoomed in to 200% and it sure looks like a BD to me, you can make out the rounded corners, see the trim ring and the tonearm is definitely Columbia.

I'd love to have a high quality scan of this to frame and display with my BD, they're rather imposing machines.

No, no Indian gizmo. I think it's a BJ or BD, circa 1905, 1906 vintage. Would love to have one.
