33 years ago I bought a ‘barn find’ phonograph at a local auction simply to swop the back bracket and arm to my BQ, which I had bought several years before. Thanks to you guys across the pond and the internet I managed to find another back bracket, arm and elbow for the BQ. I have now completed the rebuild so thought I would post here for you all to see. All the oak panels and moulding have been hand made. Greg Cline decals. So now to find/build a lid and find some 6” cylinders to play.
Thanks to all of the helpful forum members.

How nice to see this machine brought back after all those years! Those no-rush projects sometimes become the most satisfactory in the end! Thanks for posting and pics!

It looks outstanding! A job well done on a machine worth the long wait.

Re: Is this the longest restoration ever?
Stunning job! It is an incredible transformation.
I love the BO. It's one of the most attractive machines of its era. In case you haven't seen it before, here's a contemporary catalog engraving. It's the only one I've encountered over the years. (Click to enlarge.)
EDIT to add: Vulcan (based in the UK) offers a 6" cylinder in their listings. Since originals are exceedingly fragile and scarce, this is the ideal record to demonstrate the machine. LINK HERE. I put one in an original Columbia box to display next to my machine, and have quickly at hand to play for guests.

Great job. Well done! Am I the only one who noticed that the winding crank in the Original Ad is different from the one that is on his machine??
