I agree with the same. As long as the Top and side and Back Wood Veneer is Original and it's running/sounding well, Then it's worth it.

The Amberola 30 in question pictured looks like a Late 1st Model which would have been manufactured in 1915 to 1916. The grille cloth is an obvious replacement..and not the right color either. Expected for 100+ years old machine. Do yourself a favor and lift up and remove the front grill cover (Lift and pull towards you from the bottom to remove) and take a pic of the Edison Dataplate like pictured here below... You can also see the location on the right side. This is where 1st models had the Dataplate located.

One of the fellows I traveled with to the APS Expo sold an Amberola 30 that was very nice. I believe the price with a few cylinders was $325. The Amberola 30 is a robust little machine that does an excellent job playing 4-minute indestructible records.

I have my 50 and 75......but always wind up playing my two Amberola 30's for some reason... ;)
