My new Sonora and what was inside

Post by travisgreyfox »

I bought this from the original family that bought it new. After I got it home and started cleaning everything out I found some paperwork that I thought was cool. It has lists of peoples pay and how much they donated during the fiscal year. I thought it was cool seeing peoples annual paychecks from the 1930s (and also what percentage they donated).

Very nice machine and cool find! A few years back I was living in a small Texas town and restored a rolltop desk that belonged to the town's "school Marm" from 1882-1890, found a handwritten ledger in it with student and school accounts, could barely read it. The desk owner gave the ledger to the city museum and then gave them the rolltop, was really cool seeing the display they did with them. I love the found history in these machines...
