Columbia AH Project
I’m in the process of converting my early style Columbia AH from rear mount back to front mount. The plan is to fill these holes with sculpwood (great product), and cover this rectangular section with white oak veneer. Any recommendations on a dark wood stain for the veneer?

I've got to ask why you're converting this to a front-mount machine. Original back-mount variations of this early case style AH do exist in very few numbers (scarce). Please make sure you're not potentially messing up a fairly hard to come by variant of the AH before you proceed with your plan !

Hi. Good Question. To be clear this was an originally front mounted machine and it has the original holes to prove it. It had been remounted with the horn and back brace from a Columbia BI Sterling.
