This catalog was inside of a VV-230 that I bought recently. The publish date appears to be 10/1924, so just before the Orthophonic machines were introduced and I found it interesting. I am sharing this for reference. My scanner is not quite large enough to capture two full pages at one time, so some of the pages are cut off, but all of the text is there along with the full images of the machines. I have a like new original owners manual as well if anyone is looking for information regarding a Victrola 230. I believe that I can scan that with complete pages if anyone is interested.
The 330 was still available in Circassian Walnut, but the more expensive 230 was not. I suspect that this was because any 230 or 330 machines were leftovers by this time.

Thank you Django!!!
I, as well as others, appreciate your taking the time to post copies of this wonderful catalog! I certainly would also greatly appreciate seeing better, higher resolution scans of the owner’s manual (thanks for offering ). I would like to print out a very clear copy of the manual to put with my mahogany VE-230.
Thanks again,
Bob

Re: 1924 Victrola Catalog, Scanned
You are welcome. Would you prefer it as a pdf or jpeg? I should be able to get that done tomorrow. Do you have the albums? You had asked about my albums. They are Forest Green with Gold with a Circassian Walnut 230 and George Paul had a set that were blue with a Mahogany 230. I added some images of the albums on the post about my 230. All of the 230 machines were built in 1922 and 1923, so I was wondering if the color was by wood type or random..Pathé Logical wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 5:50 pm Thank you Django!!!

Re: 1924 Victrola Catalog, Scanned
Django, thanks once again!
Higher resolution pdfs suitable to make very clear prints would be great —- thank you!
I didn’t acquire my VE-230 with any albums. However, I recently purchased three albums like yours (10” —- F, G, and H) with the letters in circles on the spines —- these are Black with Gold print. I have about ten similar 12” albums (which I believe are for some of the various Victor Period Models) in various color/print combinations, but the letters are not in circles on the spines. The colors of the 12” albums in the pics below are all Black with either Gold or Silver print, except for the third from the left in the two album pics (which is the Green with Gold print album “G”). I have never seen the 10” and 12” Blue with Gold print albums (George Paul pictured with his 230 in another related post) in person.
The pics of the 230 and 330 below are from an April, 1923 Victor machine catalog (the August, 1923 catalog pages are identical for the two machines). Note, only the 230 is described as having “special Victor record albums”, while all other machines shown in these two catalogs are described as being equipped only with “Victor record albums”. At the Union, IL show several years ago, I asked both Bob Baumbach and Paul Eddy about the “special Victor record albums” mentioned in the catalogs, but neither of them had noticed the “special” designation, nor did they know what the “special” albums were. I believe these are the 10” and 12” Black, Green, or Blue albums with Gold print, with letters in circles on the spines. Interestingly, Baumbach’s Victor Data book does not mention the existence of 10” size albums like those in question, nor does it mention the Black, Green, or Blue albums with letters in circles on the spines —- only depicting those who’s letters are not in circles.
Also note, Circassian Walnut is not mentioned as an option for either the 230 or 330 in the the April and August, 1923 catalogs.
Interesting trivia to ponder,
Bob

Re: 1924 Victrola Catalog, Scanned
I have added a scanned pdf of the Victrola 230 Instructions. It is the highest resolution that my scanner is capable of. I think that they will print out quite well into book form. The scans look more aged than the actual manual, which looks almost new. If you want to print out a book. set your printer for "2 sided printing" and "flip along the long edge".
