The phonos are coming! The phonos are coming!

Post by phonophan79 »

Hey guys, I found an ad on Craigslist for a Victor Revere on the west coast. It's not labeled as such and the pictures are blurry, but that's what it is and for what seems to be an affordable price.

(get the subject line joke? the phonos are coming... revere) *ba dum bum* ;-)

I think those are some of the worst photos I’ve seen on Craigslist for a phonograph yet... :D

Apparently the phonograph was drunk (¹) and may come with modern effects processing (²)?

It may well be worth further investigation, though.

I’m still confused what ‘reverb 906’ is supposed to signify.

Even the Google search for it was less than edifying. :?

Do 78s sound better with a bit of added reverb? :D

"reverb" has to be revere misspelled. Maybe a 3-digit serial #?
