1) Serial number (found on top): 81925
2) serial number stamped in a plate
3) May 22, 1906
4) No
5) No
6) No endgate
7) a single screw at 2:00 position
8) Motor number: 51536
9) motor gears solid
10) Edison signature trade mark plate, placed on nickel and gold plated machines
11) “Edison” script decal
12) N/A

Green Oak Edison Banner Front Triumph Model A

1) Serial number (found on top): 39479
2) serial number stamped in a plate
3) Nov 17, 1903
4) No
5) No
6) Endgate with ball catch
7) a single screw at 2:00 position
8) Motor number: 25374
9) motor gears solid except on spring barrel
10) Edison signature trade mark gilt below mandrel
11) “Edison Triumph "Phonograph Banner decal
12) N/A

Top frame has centered edge beading and lower cabinet has sharp corners.
Original 2-minute mandrel has centered groove which appears to have been cut prior to the mandrel being plated (see photo)

Yes! It at least has the remnants of the speed control markings.

George, here is another (attic find) springmotor for your research. 1. serial#10006, 2. raised boss, 3. n/a, 4. straight edge has screws, 5. has lugs, 6. ball catch, 7. single screw @2:00(upgraded to play 2&4), 8. motor serial 1452, 9. not sure on spokes wheels, 10. bedplate plate: United States Phonograph Company Newark, NJ, 11. drawer, 12. none. This machine came from an auction sale last month. It had come literally from an attic in Beaverville, Illinois. Owner had passed in 1978, he was in late 40's. His widow downsizing (she is in 80's). I was fortunate to talk to son(59), he confirmed storage in attic. I was happy to have an opportunity to view and possibly purchase. Obviously, it was a good phonograph shopping day! There are still a lot of machines out there. Here are some pics
