I posted this comment in another post string, but I'm wondering if the horn lost its bell at some point. In one of the catalog ads I spotted, the horn is illustrated, and clearly shows the flare extending all the way to the grille. I know that liberties were often taken when illustrations were provided, but this is so glaring a difference, I'd suspect people would have complained. After all, it cost nearly twenty bucks and that was more than the average worker at the time made in a week!

In any event, it wouldn't be difficult to fit the horn with a tapered extension that would extend its range.

As with you, I also love the cabinet's Art Deco styling.

My example had the horn mouth extend tightly to the cabinet.
